The Century House
Except for the kitchen and some shag carpeting, this century
old home had never been updated. The foundation was
crumbling, the porch columns were collapsing, and the
interior space was chopped up to say the least.
Comerford's vision was to stabilize the structure, keep the historic detail and yet alter the interior to function for this century. she added contemporary touches, and new traditional touches that look like they've always been there. the iron grated, coal basket fireplace is all new and houses a flat-screen tv in the cabinetry above. the charming dining nook is an addition, kept traditional with its built-in window seat.
